Commitment to each other...
Members share in the weather-related risks of growing food with the
farmer, and in return receive a healthy supply of seasonal fresh produce throughout the growing season, from a farmer you know!

Building a future together...
Being a part of The Backyard Farm project creates a balanced &
responsible relationship between people, the food they eat and the farmers who grow it. This mutually supportive relationship between your backyard farmers and community members helps develop an economically stable local food system.

We'll need the answers to these questions:

How many people are in your household will we be farming for?

How often during a week do you cook?

How many vegetarians in the house?

Do you have any animals that we should know?

Will the farmers have access to water and an area for composting close to where the farm will be placed?

Do you have six hours of sunlight anywhere in your yard?

"Over 75 million acres of US cropland is planted with Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs). According to the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, The world can produce enough food to feed itself until 2030 without GMOs."
